Scholarships
There are many ways you can help a worthy student and his/her family. They include the following:
Adopt-a-Student: Your gift would support a current AWHS student whose family finances are acutely in need of support. Ideally, you would pay the student's full tuition for four years, however, you could opt for 75%, 50% or 25% of the four year total or for a percentage of less than the four-year cost. The 2010-11 tuition rate is $10,300.
A Perpetual Scholarship: You could contribute a minimum of $5,000 to the principle of our endowment in the name or memory of the loved one of your choice. A portion of the interest earned by your contribution will be awarded every year as the criteria you set dictates.
A Limited-Life Award: You might contribute a fixed amount ($500 minimum) to fund a scholarship of your design, whose life would be defined by you, as would be its criteria.
Endowment Enhancement: You could contribute any amount to the AWHS endowment fund, whose interest is used each year to offer financial aid to our students in greatest need. Your generosity would be noted in our Annual Report and in our Commencement Program, by inducting you into one of the following Giving Societies:
$10,000 or more President's Circle
$5,000-$9,999 Bishops Benefactor
$2,500-$4,999 Archbishop Williams Circle
$1,000-$2,499 Principal's Circle
$500-$999 Mitre Circle
$250-$499 Caritas Club
$100-$249 Blue and Gold Circle
Up to $99 Contributor
Class-Specific Award: Any of the above scholarships can be customized for underclassmen in need.
Planned Giving: You may choose to fund any of the above scholarships through a bequest defined in your will.
