Application Process For Grade 9
- Visit one of our Open Houses on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm or Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be tours of the school and an opportunity to meet the students, faculty, parents of current students and coaches. You may also pick up an Admissions packet that contains an application, transcript and discipline release forms and recommendation forms. We encourage all prospective applicants and their parents to attend one of these important events.
- Register for the Catholic Secondary School Entrance Exam at an Open House or go onto our website for this form. The exam will be given on Saturday, November 13, 2010 and Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 8:30 am. The exam takes approximately 3 hours. The exam fee is $25.
- Complete the application, and all supporting documents. Admissions Packets may be requested from the school or can be downloaded from our website. Send completed forms to the attention of the Admissions Committee. The application forms are accepted September through December 15, 2010. The transcript, recommendation and discipline release form are accepted after the student’s first quarter marks through January 5, 2011. Priority will be given to completed applications received by noon on January 5, 2011.
- Decision letters will be mailed on January 31, 2011.
- Be a “Bishop” for a day! Schedule a visit for February. (Only accepted students are allowed to visit. The visiting day dates are included in your acceptance packet.) On visiting day, 8th grade students attend a few classes and have lunch with current students. The visiting day runs from 7:30 am until dismissal at 12:45 pm.
- All accepted students must take a math placement exam and a foreign language exam (if they are currently studying a language).
- All incoming students and their parents will be invited to attend the Freshman Orientation Meeting. At this time students will receive a brief orientation to the school, be measured for uniforms, receive class schedules, summer reading assignments and booklists.
- What does it take to be a Bishop? Every applicant is screened by a team of ten staff and faculty members. Each screening is based upon 5 specific areas. Click here to see the critieria.

Application Process for Transfer Students
Students who choose to apply for entrance in September of the next academic year must send us the following information by May 1st:
- Application (
click for on-line form) - Transcripts, conduct and attendance records from grade 8 through the third quarter of the current academic year and a recommendation (

Transfer applicants whose records indicate academic strength, and whose application and recommendation indicate good character and a desire to attend our school, are then invited to visit the school for an admissions interview. Applicants are notified by mail in early June.
Students who wish to transfer during the current academic year should contact the school as soon as possible to speak with an Admissions Representative.
