Dear Friends,
Happy Birthday to us!
Life offers many tests. None are more important or more difficult than the test of time. Archbishop Williams High School has passed that test. Archbishop Williams High School has aced that test! How have we done that? By building a future of promise based on a tradition of excellence. That future and that tradition are founded in three values.
In a world clouded by uncertainty and doubt, we all need something to steady us. We all need values that we believe in and that define who we are. Archbishop Williams High School has been built on such values for sixty years. Those values allow our students to distinguish good from evil, love from hate and truth from fabrication.
Those values are Unity, Quality and Responsibility.
Unity. We are not just a school; we are a family. We are more than the number one. We are one. We know how to spell the word TEAM. We also know how what the word TEAM spells:
Together
Everyone
Achieves
More
Our teachers measure their own success by the success of their students. Our students accept each other, respect each other and protect each other. They are one with each other and with God. As graduates and alumni, our students become part of our fiber, fabric, and family forever.
Quality. Every aspect of our school begins with excellence and ends with more. "On our worst days we will be good. On our best days, we will be great; and on every other day, we will keep getting better."
Responsibility. Winston Churchill once said that "The price of greatness is responsibility." He was right. Our job is not to put greatness into our students, but to uncover the greatness that is already there. We will do that with rigor and responsibility.
Our values build bridges to talents and treasures and plant the seeds of success. They help our students appreciate differences, foster friendships, and grow scholastically, socially and spiritually.
Appreciate Differences
Our curriculum is personalized. Our class sizes are small. Our courses are offered at four different levels. Social development is part of our scholastic agenda. One size does not fit all. AWHS fits all sizes.
There is a special "spirit" that radiates within Archbishop Williams. We are more than a school; we are a family. We are not close; we are closer.
We combine to create a true community that fosters life-long friendships, a sense of self and strength of spirit that finds it roots in the knowledge that none of us is ever alone.
We are one. We are together. Once opened to you, the doors and heart of our school will never close.
Now, have you got that? All that? Good! Just don't forget! And look out world, because here comes Archbishop Williams High School!
