Welcome to the Archbishop Williams High School Website!
As Principal of AWHS, I’d like to share why I am proud to be its academic and spiritual head of school. Archbishop Williams High School is a fine school with an almost 60-year history of producing equally fine young men and women in the Catholic tradition who are responsible members of their communities.
Students looking at Archbishop Williams for high school are interested in a coeducational and college preparatory program that also has a religious component. That component is to us a faith-based education within a more structured environment, with an atmosphere that focuses on all of its members, students, parents, faculty and staff, all being part of a community, a family. This is our mission; this is our strong point.
An easy way to think of Archbishop Williams High School is in terms of the 3 C’s: we are Catholic, we are College preparatory and we are Co-educational. Our students spend their four-years participating in a rigorous academic program that prepares them for two and four year colleges and universities as well as service academies. They do so in the more natural male/female environment learning to grow, accept and compete with one another and developing healthy attitudes. All the while, they continue to strengthen their faith and values, which they will need for the life challenges that lie ahead of them.
This school is a happy school. Our students are encouraged to enjoy student life here, but academics always come first. The happiest Williams students combine good solid grades with active participation in athletics and/or extra curricular activities along with volunteering their service to others. This unbeatable combination develops a sound whole person who is productive and thus a happy person.
As Principal, being part of a tradition in Catholic education is most rewarding, more so, being part of this Archbishop Williams tradition of family and faith gives an immense feeling of satisfaction and pride.
